We recorded most of T.A.R. in a marathon 36hr session, and this was one of the first joints we laid down.

about 5 years ago i lived in this house on W.10th street in Tremont, and after awhile the money was funny and utilities got shut down. i started making fires in a steel drum since it was winter, and i don't know . . . i never was worried about bringing people over there even though is was basically squatting. i met this really smart girl from C.I.A. and we started to hang out . . . the woman in the song is kind of a sketch of her, but the real through line concerns youthful huebris, and the meandering one can do when denial is about of the proceedings.
