    Inspired by a Tarbaby skit built into Melvin Van Peeples 1976 novel - The True American (a folk fable). TAR was initially only supposed to be a beat tape to be passed around by the MC's in the camp. So I gave it to e.React, and he dumped them down from the actual cassette tape.

    a couple of days later, e.React played them for me. i had totally forgotten about them, but i told him that i wanted to record some songs i had written to the beats. one marathon recording session later (about 36hrs over two days) TAR was done.

    so we thought why not release the instrumentals first, and then drop the vocal version in Feb 2010? so there you have it - THE TAR INSTRUMENTALS. you know how on some old jazz records they would have a credit line that said - "arranged and conducted"? we decided to do it like that RA Production, Arranged and Conducted by e.REACT.
