    NOTES FROM THE TAPE DECK

While e.REACT and i were working on the New LeRoi Da Moor record, i noticed that i had more than a few songs looking at relationships, gender politics, and the nature of love, and loss. i thought about a book i wrote years ago called GLASS TURNS TO SAND AGAIN, and i thought it might be interesting to put together an EP of supposed ballads, both hopeful, and reflective- with songs that kind of discussed relationships from the perspective of a certain intellectual bravado. Bravado when it comes to emotion is not new to hip hop. i think of songs like "ex to the next girl", or " i need love" . . .

so with that we present a precursor to T.A.R. - an EP that feels like early fall to me.

about

Its a new year, and with new years there is always expectations, predictions, resolutions . . . for most, its a time of reflection, as if your memory plays on repeat . . .
out of sequence, out of frame, out of time.
